DANGER — Shock Hazard, disconnect supply before opening

Hazardous live parts are accessible when the enclosure is open.

  • Installation and electrical connection must be carried out by a competent person.
  • Isolate and lock off the electrical supply before opening the enclosure or carrying out installation, wiring, servicing or maintenance. Prove dead before touching internal components or terminals.
  • Confirm that the supply matches the voltage and frequency on the product rating label.
  • Provide suitable overcurrent protection and a readily accessible means of isolation in accordance with applicable wiring regulations.
  • Maintain the specified IP rating with correctly rated cable entries; refit all covers and seals before energising.
  • Do not operate the unit if the enclosure, cable, seals or internal components are damaged.

AS SUPPLIED — FLOW OPERATION

The unit is configured for Flow operation. Install the flow meter in the dishwasher’s water infeed. Connect the dosing unit to a suitable supply within the dishwasher so that isolating the dishwasher also disconnects power to the dosing unit. During operation, the unit measures the water taken in and doses according to that volume and whether the dishwasher is starting up or running.

4. close and secure the enclosure

Close the front face and secure both quarter-turn latches. Refit all covers and seals. Keep the electrical supply isolated until the chemical tubing is connected and the unit is ready to commission.

5. connect chemical tubing

CHEMICAL COMPATIBILITY

Intended for dosing commercial machine-dishwashing caustic detergents and acidic rinse aids only. For unusual formulations or other chemicals, confirm suitability with your chemical supplier before installation. Never mix detergent and rinse aid.

Wear the PPE specified by the chemical supplier and follow the product label and Safety Data Sheet.

Use the complete instructions for tubing specification and any product-specific limits.

6.1 Prime pumps

Use the LEFT, MIDDLE and RIGHT buttons on the display panel.

PRIME LEFT primes detergent; RIGHT primes rinse aid.

6.2 Setup menu

Use the LEFT, MIDDLE and RIGHT buttons on the display panel.

SETUP MENU Press MIDDLE and RIGHT together. Follow the screen prompts to move next, go back or start a function. To leave, scroll to Exit and press RIGHT (Enter).

6.3 Calibrate pumps

Before calibrating, pumps MUST be PRIMED

CALIBRATE DETERGENT PUMP

In Setup, select Calibrate DET, press Enter and confirm. Fully prime the detergent pump. Put at least 50 ml of detergent in a graduated flask and note the starting volume.

MEASURE Place the infeed tube in the flask and press any button. After the pump draws, remove the tube and measure the volume taken (starting volume minus remaining volume).

ACCEPT Replace the displayed volume with the measured amount and press Accept.

CALIBRATE RINSE PUMP

Repeat the calibration above for the rinse-aid pump using a clean flask and rinse aid.

6.4 Set PIN

SET PIN to prevent unauthorized access to settings

In Setup, select the ‘set PIN’ function, enter four digits. For each digit: LEFT decreases by one; MIDDLE increases by one; RIGHT accepts and moves to the next. Press once per change; there is no auto-repeat.

CONFIRM PIN Enter the same four digits again. The unit compares them, displays the new PIN and returns to the menu after a short delay. Four identical digits such as 1111 are rejected as weak. Record and retain the PIN securely; it cannot be retrieved.

6.5 Verify delivered dose

VERIFY THE DELIVERED DOSE Set the required dose and measure the actual quantity delivered before handover. Compare it with the expected dose. If it differs, recalibrate and measure again.
